The magazine analyzed universities' football expenditures and wins over the past three years to find the "best college football teams for the money," and K-State topped the list, followed by Stanford University and North Carolina State.

Meanwhile, another familiar team led the list of the worst college football teams for the money ? the University of Kansas, where each win has cost $8 million.
